Hi all, I’m creating a magical wizard effect where nParticles are leaving dust/sparkle trails by spawning more nParticle systems from the original. That’s all find and dandy, but where my problem comes in is the actual motion of the primary nParticle simulation. They’re supposed to be curling/spiraling as they fly through the air. Right now I’m using two different turbulence fields (high frequency/low frequency) to achieve a curl-noise affect. However, the turbulence fields are much too random and I haven’t been able to achieve the spiral curl motion that I’m looking for.
Is there a way to somehow use Vortex fields on a per-particle basis? It seems that a Vortex motion is more what I’m looking for, but it will affect the entire particle system, not each individual particle.
The images below show the basic paths I’m looking for the individual particles to have. Anyone have any luck achieving this kind of effect?
On a deadline so any help is greatly appreciated!
