Not so Good Vibrations on Bevel

#1

I have a Dell M1710 with Intel Duo T7200 processors, 2 gig ram, nVidia 256mb 7950GS.

My problem is when I use modo 203 on this laptop and attempt to bevel a polygon loop, I don’t get a smooth tranlation…instead I get a sort of hopping or vibrating effect that makes it basically unusable. I also tested this program on a Dell desktop with a p4 with no graphics card and I don’t have the problem. I figure it could be the touchpad or the graphics card. I really don’t know, since my setup works fine with every other major 3D and Graphics program, I don’t think I want to make any major changes for modo, since I’m just testing it. Thanks in advance for your time and advice.

I selected the bevel tool, then hit ctrl-d, which apparently clears the previous tool settings. It works!

check the “+/-” fields in the tool properties for the bevel.
if those are anything but zero then you will get a jitter when trying to ineractively bevel.
those fields are for added randomization.
