Not able to get the hypershade to work

I am at a novice level,

I am trying to shade using the hypershade, however there is nothing happening on the selected object.

Req help.

Hey, you may have discovered this by now, but the Hypershade is basically for viewing, editing and creating materials, you will still need to assign any material you create to your object.

You can do this by sinply dragging the material from the hypershade directly onto your object, or by right clicking your object and assiging a material to it, which you can then edit within the Hypershade.
