What would some of you guys request for a high-poly 3d character model that comes with indepth concept art without deadlines to be completed. Just curious at what “the norm is.”

It varies with the character spec.

Does this include rigging? Face rigging, hand etc…

Define high poly.

For game engine or render?

Are there technical/material parameters to stay within…

For me it comes down to calculating time spent - start to finish, all the above add or subtract to this…you have to really have a good sense of what your time is worth, and be a good judge of how long it takes you to do things…

I have a set of hourly rates that I charge my clients. What I do is estimate the amount of time it will take to bring the model from start to completion and simply multiply it by the hourly rate. This is the figure I give my client.
