Next Steps [Beginner]

Hello!

After getting lost and no where in the mess and overwhelming power of Autodesk 3ds Max 2017 and a lack of tutorials for beginners that has been updated to the latest version of the software, I was told to try Blender. So far I have to say I like it a lot better! It was designed with “simplicity” in mind it seems but without sacrificing too much for it. I really like how everything is laid out, the shortkeys (that TAB key!) and how easily you can change them if you would like.

Anyways, got a littler side tracked there! Sorry! So far I have watched these two videos (all that they have):

http://www.cgmasters.net/free-tutorials/totally-new-to-3d-animation-or-blender-start-here/
https://cgcookie.com/course/blender-basics/

Both of which generally covers the basics like interface, movement, basic creation/editing/deleting and of course explains shortcut keys and some preferences you can edit to change them. I am now wondering though…what’s next for me? I unfortunately do not have the funds to purchase tutorials or “personal trainers” to teach me, so is that the end for me? I really want to get into this, I always have but just felt lost, so I would really like to continue.

So, my question is this: are there any tutorials, free, that I can use to continue off of the above? I would love it if they were just as “noob friendly” as the above videos but I’ll take anything so long as it is designed with complete beginners in mind.

Thank you so much for reading and responding (if you do!), I truly appreciate it.

Rhaes,

Try blender guru on youtube he has free tutorials. I’m in the same boat as you tho I don’t know weather to learn blender or max, with max being too expensive to buy but every studio uses it, blender being good at making your own money.
