Newbie with questions....

Hey all, I’m new here and New to Mudbox and 3d in general.

I’ve been playing around with the software, but im stuck.

I’ve been trying to create a full humanoid torso (im using wow’s bloodelf as a reference)
and I’m fine with using the basic sculpting tools. I can create a head, and I’m now working on the hair {as a new object}. It’s not great but its my first attempt at creating a 3d character. My question is this:

Since i created the hair separate from the actual head, how do i merge the two together as one whole object? and similar, if i create a torso separate from the head, how do i merge the head and torso together as one image? so that i can edit it as one whole piece, instead of separate parts. im doing this all in one file instead of multiple files…if that helps any…

im not using this for anything other than to just create a 3d model
(no animation or anything like that)

i get the feeling its relatively simple and i may have overlooked it in tutorials, but i just havent figured out how to do it yet.

Any suggestions or links to the right tutorials would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

A little more elaboration please…But maybe you need to know that mudbox will only serve you as a modeling tool right now…Version 2 will improve on many things…Not sure about your problem but Im checking back here from time to time and I’d be glad to give you any advice I might know.
