win 8 have all of those sorted out right from start, just one example

What sort of problems? My installation was pretty straight forward. Just curious.

I went for windows 8.1 for the reason Mirko mentioned, It may not really be to my taste with the missing start menu, but I would rather pick the latest OS so that I don’t end up with an older unsupported OS further down the line. Plus it would make installing windows easier as it will have more modern hardware support out of the box.

Oh I went through vista, got off that boat asap. Windows 7 is fine with SSDs, so long as you keep it up to date that was sorted years ago.

I have ordered it with W 8.1 pro 64 bits
I will check in the new Workstation. I have that one in my Tablet. not is bad…
is there any formule to remove the start menú in W8 ???
