New subforums: ICE and Programming

Given the specific nature of programming tasks and issues, and the enormous scope (not to mention novelty) of ICE as a key feature of v7, two new subforums have been created for those particular topics.

I’m sure they will be slow in the beginning, but eventually they will pick up and the added tidyness will make your life, and mine, just that bit easier :slight_smile:

Please use them.

P.S.
XSI v7 as a general subject/topic isn’t just ICE, so the ICE forum is mostly meant for when v7 will be released for questions specific to ICE. Right now there probably isn’t a whole lot that can go in there.

hi all, i’ve been trying to get this to work for the longest time. how do u use the weightmap of a geometry as the particle goal using a surface emitter? i found this ( http://community.softimage.com/showthread.php?t=2457 ) but it only works if the emitter is a null. :frowning: not sure if this is a bug or it’s just me.

please help.
