Hey All!
My name is Allan Riddle, and I have spent years working with textures in 3D apps ranging from Maya and C4D, to creating textures for game design and virtual worlds like Second Life. I take a lot of reference images to make my textures from, as well as make use of the many free resources that can be found online.
I finally decided it was time to give back to the community that has helped me for so long, so I am posting my own Hi-Res images up for others to use as well. Free of charge of course.
I know there is a sticky in this forum for such sites, but I was not able to PM Leigh about it, I guess because I am just making my account here. So instead I am just going to make a quick post and hope some of you find the images useful.
I think an admin needs to approve this message so, please do, and/or add my link to the free texture resources sticky. Thank You!
Have a look at www.grungetexturefor.me and feel free to let me know if you have any trouble accessing the images. it’s all wide open, no accounts necessary.
Also there is a Request-A-Texture box, so if you simply can’t find what you are looking for, let me know. I live in the heart of the city, and can walk out and take shots of whatever you need. Just as long as it falls within the theme of my site.
