New Project in 10.5

#1

Need some advise please.
I know that I shoudn’t start a project with a Beta version but I really like the renderer in V10.5. I haven’t done much with 10.5 just some testing so, I don’t really know.
What do you think ?
Thanks

How about doing the majority of your work in an officially released version, and then render in the beta - saving everything prior to your rendering (most obviously).

Yes that is an idea…!
I’ve got V10n and how well V10.5 will accept everything from V10?
For example… I have done a bit years ago with V6 then V8.5.
Importing models from those to V10 is ok.
Importing actions, textures … is not ok.

I haven’t had any problem taking a V10 project into 10.5. If you have any plug-in materials, you should make sure that they are also installed into the Beta version…

Remember that you might not be able to take it back into V10 successfully, so make a copy of your project for 10.5 so that you still have the original to tweak… That is area to be careful about when working in two versions.

If the project isn’t for a paying job, I would just do the entire thing in the Beta. I would be very careful about making commitments using a beta version of a program–at least have a back-up plan in case something goes wrong… However this A:M beta is very stable, and is supposed to go to release version in a few weeks. I know JoeW did the “Tak and the power of JuJu” in the Alpha version!!! But I’m sure they had a contingency plan, just in case;)

Thanks Zandoria

Yes it is for a paying job so I will stick with Version 10 for the moment and will move to 10.5 when released.
I think, it’s my best option.
Thanks for helping me.
