New plugin - Phoenix Fluid Dynamics

#1

Hi, if anyone missed this. Chaos Group is under development with a new Fluid Dynamic plugin for 3ds max called Phoenix. They also search for beta testers!
Hope it’s not a “re-make” of the old Digimation Phoenix system, let hope for a new tool that can class out FumeFX.

Hi, this is the old Aura that had been under development for a long time:

But maybe it deserves a new topic.

Hm I don’t think you really know that, at least I hope you don’t, otherwise you might be breaching your NDA  The ad says its gridbased, so - Navier-Stokes thing like Fume, we can only hope it’s at least that good

Well it’s kind of assumed. Even if they did a total rewrite, they used to develop Aura at the very least, so this is very likely some kind of evolution of that. It’s no secret that Aura is a grid based fire/smoke system.

That was I meant, hope to see it hitting the market unlike aura.

Edit: I just read it in chaos group forum:

So, yes, it deserves a new topic.

^ Good to know. That’s very cool.

#7

I just got my NDA in the mail. Really looking forward to playing with this.

#8

I hope the NDA allow you guys to tell at least if it’s great to work…
