New Mootzoid Website, new Softimage Plugin

Hi there!

Just a short post to inform you about the brand new mootzoid.com website that was published yesterday:

Furthermore there is a new plugin available for Softimage.
It is called emReader, here’s a short video tutorial that demonstrates its usage:

Looks great! - Now if only Autodesk would let us in on their long-term plans with regards to SI we’d immediately buy a seat or two for those plugins alone…

I personally think it is pretty safe to say that Autodesk’s plans regarding Softimage are good, or to be blunt: Softimage is not going to be “killed”. There have been tons of (IMO unfounded) rumours and still are, but the facts just speak otherwise:
Since Softimage XSI 7.5 there have been regular updates with new features every year, service packs were released when needed and - almost five years after Autodesk aquired Softimage - it is still alive, still being developed, still being sold and still being used worldwide.
I am not saying that everything is “pure awesomness” (but it never is anyway, is it?) and it is true that there are no official long-term plans, but the facts are there and they are good enough for me to remain optimistic… on a long-term :slight_smile:
