Don’t buy it guys. It will still have power bricks, these wieldy wire connections, that some people still use clothingsocks to organize the wires.
The 24" I can see. 32" though? Overkill. I’ve a 22hd and it already seems like more than enough. I can’t imagine the fatigue from having to work with anything larger for prolonged periods. I’m sure that there’s a reason and market for a 32" Cintiq, but I just know that I’m not it.
I think the point being made isn’t that it’s still using wires, but the sheer number of them involved in the process. Power. USB. Video. Tack on any device switches or hefty external bricks. All of that decreases your ability to move the tech around or to another locale.
The issue here isn’t necessarily that the tech is still wired. It’s that there’s still too much of a tangle. Not enough has been unified or simplified. There’s a good reason why VESA arms are often made with places to tuck in the wires. Too damn many.
I blame overall computer hardware design/limitations though, not Wacom.
I get why the external brick though. It decreases unit bulk and heat.
