• Create complex animation sequences as assigned by the Supervisor/Director
• Render and composite assigned animation sequences
• Complete work assigned within the scheduled timeframe
• Assist and complete production related assignments
• File management – keep files efficiently organized
• Actively participate in production-related meetings offering thoughts and ideas
• Remain current in animation and production techniques
• Stay up-to-date on production related software
• Carry out duties in a professional and positive manner

Requirements
• Intermediate understanding of general animation, character animation and lip-synching
• Basic understanding of compositing, modeling and lighting techniques
• Intermediate knowledge of 3D software; preferably Softimage XSI
• Basic knowledge of colour theory and physics of light an asset
• Strong compositional skills
• Solid understanding of character posing
• Degree/diploma in fine arts or animation or equivalent experience an asset
• Able to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas
• Able to multi-task and prioritize
• Thrive in a high pressure, deadline oriented environment
• Enjoy working in team atmosphere

We are currently in production on Storm Hawks, a 3-D animated television series airing in 2007 on YTV in Canada and Cartoon Network in the US, UK, France and Latin America. Produced primarily in Softimage XSI, the animation and visual aesthetic draws inspiration from both Japanese and North American graphic and classical styles including Anime, Comic Book and Disney. In keeping with our philosophy as a company, this project will enable our employees to push the boundaries of CG animation and create a long overdue “fresh look” for this medium in the television production environment.
