Need some help with my alien fighters

#1

Hello everyone.

I’m currently working on a sci-fi pilot and I’m having trouble with this shot. It requires a sky replacement and the addition of some alien fighter jets flying overhead.

The director and I are happy with the sky replacement, but I’m having trouble with the fighters. They look OK when viewed as a still frame but, when they are in motion, they look wrong, but I don’t know why. Here are some before and after frames:

And here is the video:

I would be extremely grateful for any help you can give me to make the fighters look better.

Many thanks.

What is that halo following them? I would reconsider that and add a steam trail behind. The other thing: They need to be slowed a bit despite you wanting them to appear super fast - the distance makes ip for that. The major thing, both, their path of transit, seems too low like it swoops down too close to the other side of the ridge… I think they could be slowed up a bit and arc them up into the sky further before leaving frame.

Thank you very much for the advice. I will do what you suggested and see how it looks.

Thanks again
