Need some feedback on plan to become a

#1

Hey guys!

I would like some feed back on the direction I should take to improve myself.

My plan so far:

- Gnomon school of VFX has a one year track labeled "Entertainment Design". It is designed to help build up foundations and get a portfolio started, which is exactly what I need. It is 4 terms with each term being ten weeks long. However, I cannot find much information about people's' experiences or any reviews about the one year program. I have heard great things about the school, but nothing really on this one year track. I did find a woman giving details about her experience on Conceptart.org , but it was from 2011. That was it. She did very much enjoy it though

or

LAAFA also has an 18 month intensive track to learn foundations and it is around the same price as the Gnomon track. However, I cannot find any reviews or people detailing their experiences doing this. So I am not sure about this one unless I can find more information.

After Gnomon or LAAFA, I would take classes at Concept Design Academy, Red Engine Studios, and/or Animation Guild. All of these studios are reasonably priced and are taught by the best. I am quite excited to try these schools, especially CDA! I would working and doing these classes part time

As for my questions:
Does this seem like a decent plan? Have any of you been through these programs or can at least share some info about them? Can any of you share their experiences from the other studios I listed? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Lastly, this is my first post! Very happy to be apart of this amazing community!

Edit: took out a bunch of crap lol. my post was a bit too long
