Hey all-
Have a few questions on best techniques. I have a scene Im finally gonna finish since I have some time. Basically I need to accomplish two things and Im not sure the best way to go about this. The scene is going to be about a 5-10 second pan through of an old warehouse. I need to get some realistic water dripping into a puddle as well as some nice light rays/god rays coming in the window. The setting takes place right after a morning rain storm and the sun is out. Foggy and damp.
My first tests will be using nparticles to get the water dripping into a puddle. But I know a few different ways to get fog/god rays, but nothing has ever looked great and has also weighed my scene down drastically. If anyone has any good advice for achieving this look Im going for, that would be very helpful.
