Need help editing VUE materials inside of C4D

Hi all, I asked my pals over here http://forums.creativecow.net/readpost/19/877789 how to change the materials for a VUE object, but then I remembered you guys. :bowdown: I am finding it impossible to change a material as it keeps getting reverted to the one stored in /etc/tmp/e-on on my mac. I can see changes in the viewport but they don’t render, and are not saved even though the files in the /tex dir are correct.
