Hey guys, I would appreciate some feedback on my reel. There’s some shots there i did back at animation mentor as well as some production material. Anyway, tell me what you guys think
need feedback on the reel
I’d put that last acting shot closer to the front after first walkcycle or before, it’s nice. I don’t feel the bear’s weight, I’d take that shot out or fix the bear it seems to be your weakest piece. Nice reel overall.
Yep, they are looking good as they are at the moment
I would maybe put the subtitles in a fixed place instead of having them jump around. For instance at the bottom of the screen, where they normally are in movies.

I thought the bear was kinda nice, need some improvement like you have mentioned, but still not the worst IMO. I actually would consider taking out the girl walk cycle.
Talking about the girl, a walk cycle on a turn table is quite disorienting, and you already have a solid generic walkcycle in your AM rig. Turntable + walk cycles are more common in modeling reels because they say: “hey I can rig too, Plus the model is production ready!”
Good work.
thanks for the feedback guys, I’ll try to make necessary changes to the reel. The turntable girl walk was actually the demand from the company, they’re launching new series and wanted test walk cycles for the characters.
Yeah I proabbly need to redo the subtitles alltogether, they’re not easy to read as they are. And the weird positioning is because i didn’t want the text to be on top of the animation
Very nice work in your reel. The walk cycles are the only thing i´m not so sure. The guy is rotating the shoulders too much…and the cycle has a pop. The bear can be improved too, but the girl is looking fine to me.
Off topic: sorry about this …but since you have a picture of you in the blog, i can´t help to say that you´re a beauty.
Keep the good work.
