nCached particle mesh no motionblur

Alright, here we go

Got some nparticle sims going on, looks good and nCache it, decide to mesh the ncached particles system with convert>nparticles to Polygons

I render it within maya using vray and the motionblur looks fantastic. I then send it to our farm for rendering and it ignores the nCache which then leads me to pursue a new route of exporting an alembic cache of the mesh’d nparticles which renders on the farm with no problem except for the fact that I can’t render it with motionblur

We’ve gone through every possible checkbox/setting combination and cannot for the life of us figure out a way to get motionblur to render with alembic caches

Has anyone experienced this problem and able to shed some light for us? :banghead:

I’ve had problems in the past with motion blur and nMesh objects.

As it turns out, since we were using Maya 2014 and the alembic exporter within, alembic did not contain the motionVectorColorSet. So we just hopped onto 2015, used the exporter there and worked perfectly
