I am facing a weird problem with my system. I bought a dell workstation with the config:
1gb nvidia quadro 2000
intel xeon processor e5-2620 (6 core 2.00ghz turbo 15 mb 7.2 gtx/sec)
16 gb ddr 3 ram 1600 mhz ecc
1tb 7200 rpm hard drive
windows 7 professional 64 bit
I also have a Dell laptop with config:
Intel® core™2 Duo CPU P8600 @ 2.4GHz
4GB Ram
32 bit OS
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650
The issue is that when I am creating any kind of simulation be it maya fluid simulation or realflow liquid simulation my workstation gives me a slower performance than my laptop. The simulation happens faster on my laptop than on my workstation contrary on what I expected & to the configurations of the both the system. Even rendering is a bit slower but faster than my laptop. Anyone having a solution or suggestion please feel free to share.
