Fabulous work man! Love your character and mech designing. I like how your characters have life and hang well. I like the chicks. Very cool work.

Nice street style!

Thanks very much for the comments folks.

Been a little while since i was last on. Has been madness at work.

Here’s a little sketch i did up today.

#85

Here’s some Fanart i’ve been mucking around on for Fable 2.

and another…

and another…

Here’s a bit of a stylistic experiment i tried. Not a huge fan of it myself. I think its too noisy. Would love to hear your thoughts tho…

#90

Different indeed! Not bad - but just like you said - a little too noisy for my taste.

Your work is always inspiring anyway!

The Fable work is incredible. It’s really nice to see the sketched stuff scanned in – I’m assuming it is analog? Either way, great additions

#92

Thanks for the kind words, guys!

Daniel, the Fable stuff is actually drawn directly in using wacom. I’ve adjusted my brush settings to emulate pencil as best as possible so that i can try to capture the same effect of using pencil on paper. To be honest, its probably because i’m just too lazy to scan stuff

#93

Really? Do you use PS or Painter?

#94

I use photoshop with a few settings on the standard airbrush tool. It mages to create a pretty reasonable emulation of pencil.

Have just been experimenting with a new way of creating images in a lot quicker time. Working a lot rougher and free-er and scrating back into the ink. Enables me to churn out a character sketch in around 10 minutes.

Here are some examples.

#95

Here’s my latest Fable 2 fanart using that same technique. This was a heck of a lot of fun to do and probably took about 45-60 min maybe?

#96

Thanks, redfrog, it looks very authentic.

By the way, the last two sketches are sweet!

#97

Thanks Daniel!

Here’s a quickie for the DSG

#98

very nice “new style” - can you tell more about the technique behind your last images?
Also it would be nice to know more about your “pencil emulation” for PS - I use PAINTER and PS but some things in PS are just better for my workflow so I’m interested in this pencil setting…

#99

Hey Viseone, sent you a PM with the brush details

Here’s another piece of fanart - This time for Gears of War. Based on the cool locust characters from Epic’s awesome game, and the character design of James Hawkins.

Thank you Craig! Very helpful!

Your last images are very dynamic and I like this style - one of my favorite cartoonists “André Franquin” (france) brought out a book called “Idées noires - dark thoughts” which is also one of my favorite comicbooks.
The style of your last images reminds me on that - really nice!
