My R21 viewport is slower than R20

basic and simple always.

talking about spitting… I was at the Copenhagen unity conference. there was this guy spiting 4 8 16 keys… like nothing… it was almost like exporting… from unity. talking about real time sets ups.

USD? don’t really know whats about. care to expand a bit?

#22

Going to name names?

#23

please dont…

#24

Why not? We need heroes

#25

HEROES? I have a different definition of that word… but you can do a search on youtube… c4d 21 review… they all have the same input and same example…

#26

No, please do. I’m curious who these crappy testers are that are making bank off of releasing free videos for the c4d community

#27

We need info from another Houdini/Blender users, who look up to Cinema4d sub-forum.
Who are feeling lonely without Mograph and other awesome tools.

#28

I don’t need to, anyone with a single functioning brain cell have look back in the forum history to see the same names pop up after a C4D release and coincidentally have something to sell. Not rocket science.

#29

Maybe you don’t know how Youtube works…

#30

there is actually a " motion tour " happening right now. full of them.

Universal Scene Description. http://graphics.pixar.com/usd/docs/index.html

It’s one scene format to rule them all for exchanging scenes and assets. A certain unmentionable free 3d application is getting USD support so if you need to get a scene into Unreal or Unity for RT rendering etc there will soon be a conduit. Epic games and several other games companies are switching over their internal pipelines to USD faster than you can say ‘Maxon subscriptions are great for the shareholders.’

USD will mean it’s even easier to exchange assets between applications but it also means we could see highly focused single purpose applications, like ZBrush or RizomUV mixed an matched together to create an Uber application.

#32

thanks.

I understand cinema 4d will have a friendly exchange with unity. dont know about unreal…

looks the way to go… small specialize software. perfect mix if you ask me.

#33

It also means that it’s going to be easier for a small highly motivated software development team to upturn the apple cart. Imagine an application that focused on particles, dynamics and Mograph with USD it could become a plugin to every 3D DCC out there and kick out the incumbent application.

#34

USD sounds great, but in reality I suspect this is what will happen…

#35

Lol but still goood… for the next 10 yrs.

Oh go on, for those of us without a single functioning brain cell, help us out here.

The advertising revenue from the highest performing c4d videos (~100,00. views) earns around $6, but the average c4d video with 20,000 views earns about $1.20. A typical c4d channel produces one video every 2-3 weeks.

If monetised, a decently performing c4d youtube channel will make roughly 6 cents per day. However, the majority of c4d youtube channels are not monetised because annoying a viewer with an advert isn’t worth the 2 pints of beer per year you could potentially earn per year.

So, genuinely curious who these c4d youtubers are that are rolling around like scrooge mc duck in piles of cash.

#37

really?? YouTube videos is the platform for the PACKAGE or the kits or the 327298374238 shaders library. and come packages go for way up to 200 $ so yess I do believe there some youtubers making money…

#38

I admire your candour.

#39

To me a ‘youtuber’ is someone that makes their living on youtube by releasing videos and earning advertising revenue or offering paid promotion within the video. ie. that is their primary income. virtually all c4d youtube channels are done as a hobby or as a small part of a company’s promotion.

Sometimes this place reminds me of the comments section in the Daily Mail.
( If you don’t know what the daily mail is you’re extremely lucky. )

Back to the topic in hand.
I just installed R21 on an iMac and I’m having the same issue which to me looks more software related than hardware.
