My LW style layout has completed!

#1

:)Hi all, I’ve just completed this layout and wanna to share here before I post to "Share your Macros and Layouts"thread. Not exactly look alike LW but it suit my workflow.
First by do a Config Import… on File menu, import both Form and Layout.cfg then go to Layout menu > Layout > choose the LW style layout.
C&C are welcome.

Cheers,

Joo Lee

Very cool!

#3

Wow, kudos. On the other hand, it loses some of the beauty of modo’s interface, but hey, if the LW interface works for you, then post a link. Hell, I’ll try it when I get modo, I use Lightwave myself.

#4

Did you edit in the key shortcuts too and if you did which LW version do they correspond to?

#5

ThePumpkinKing : I’ve post the cfg files. did you get it?

Para : No, I did not export the key mapping. I only export the Layout and the tool bar form. And this layout wouldn’t change your Viewport colour scheme.

Cheers.

Good UI, joo thanx to share with us!

BTW when i have some timei’ll try to understand better if there’s a possibility to have tabs just like in lw modeler too, and map the commands the same as modeler . I’m just really used to modeler appearence.

#7

your are welcome!

#8

You’ve just knocked out half the usefulness of modo!

#9

I like it - nice work! A few of the people here at Indestructible have asked about the early screenshots of modo sporting XSI/Maya/LightWave looks and were skeptical about the degree of customization possible within modo - It’s nice to be able to pop up a LightWave layout so they can tinker with modo without having to ask where everything is

Personally I’ve been sticking with the default layout as I think it works very well - still, it’s tempting to drop into “LightWave mode” 'cause I’m so used to it…

#10

I didn’t get modo yet, I’m still waiting. But I’ll download them and save them, and I’ll try them as soon as possible.

#11

Hi Joo,

nice work. like it very much, but how to use it?
Were to copy it?
Thanks.

Joerg

#12

very cool thing!thanks~~

#13

Hi Joerg,
Download the zip I post then you may put the Form & Layout.cfg files into the modo folder, ie. C:/Program Files/Luxology/modo/extra (or create a new folder)
Then on the File menu > Config Import…> browse to the both Form and Layout.cfg then go to Layout menu > Layout > choose the LW style layout. (Just in case, its better to backup your own MODO.cfg before import others cfg.)

And many thanks to all who like this layout!

Cheers :=)
