hi Marco , a matte painting is mostly and only an environment, this one already has “action” and it steals all the attention immediately, get rid of that explosion, and work on the environment, the aspect you are working with it’s not a cinematic aspect, like 16:9 HD or a wider 2:35 will make it look better, exposure needs to match , work on your levels and keylight direction, the FG is a bit sketchy and undefined , some of the shadows look too soft as well
go to the tutorials in this matte painting forum and you’ll learn some of these points
