Multithreading in Python on Softimage

Hi Friends…

I’m Learning Python… and I was had some JScript Commands and I’ve Converted them to Python Succesfully BUT…

Can I Use Multiple Threading in Softimage by Python?
How? and Would You Please Give me Some Examples PLiiiiiZZZ??

Long story short: if you ask the question, you most likely aren’t there yet.
The additional detail: unless you need to open multiple threads for the utility value, in which case you should really first look into the subject specifically for Python first, if you’re after performance because you heard multithreading is the way to go, you’re in for a big disappointment.

Most of the thing that makes sense doing in Python wouldn’t benefit much, performance wise, from MT. If you’re after that, learn C++ instead of trying to hammer a nail in with a screwdriver, or find an efficient library, if one is available, that covers the performance intensive task you intend to optimize (IE: numpy for numerical analysis, pyCUDA for offing highly parallelizable ops to the GPU and so on).

Apologies in advance if this sounds condescending, it’s not meant to be, just when that question is asked like that, normally it means somebody is looking into the wrong thing, or doesn’t quite have a grasp on the subject.
