I’m using 3ds max - I have about 6 hi-res (21k) images I want to use to texture an Earth. Each image is basically a different section of land. I’ve been looking into using multi-tile UV layout, but I don’t know if that’s what I really need. Would I have to unwrap each section of the sphere that each map would be applied to, to use multi-tile UVs?
I tried just applying multiple uvw maps for each section and manually tweaking them to get them to all line up, but it’s hard to see what your doing in the viewport.
Does anyone have suggestions?
