Multi threading?! YESS or NO?!

Hi!

I belive MoBu has some great futures that make it awsome for animators,

BUT:
I think that this software didn’t support multi-threading technology! and it’s really a lame for it!
infact I didn’t know if it was or not really! but I know it works really slow (and in very low fr/sec rates) on my pc and when I saw my pc performance, one (and just one!) core of quad cores of my cpu sticked at top(even in idle!) and all the rest in the rest! and it’s really a nightmare to animate with it some serius projects! specially it’ll be crash if you wonna make it force to work!!
Btw really can’t belive it’s not multithreading yet! so plz say me it’s! anyone! plz! and if so, it’s really weired thing!!! :argh:

my system prpertise:
2x1G hi-speed patriot rams in dual chanels
1x quadcore cpu - each core with 2.4 gh clock speed
1x GF 8800 GT NVIDIA/ Gainward GOLDEN SAMPLE with 1GB ddr3 ram
2x20"wide LCDs/1680x1050 px
1x AcBell 580W power suply (special edition!)

at my previous gig I had a quad-core that was multi threaded and it worked fantastic. I’m not an IT guy, so I don’t know if it was using all of the quads capabilities. It looks like you have a gaming video card…try beefing up to the NVIDIA QUADRO FX family…I haven’t had issues with those cards and MoBu. I’m not saying thats the answer but you might want to evaluate your equipment first. Did you try the Autodesk site and support?

Hey Quadro family is so expencive man! :surprised though midrange ones cost something around 1600$ that is equal to whole of my pc price!
and as contacting autodesk it’s a good idea, tnx man; will try it now;
Btw is it possible that this was one of limits they left in trial modes?!
Anyway tnx for your answer and good idea,

mim,

about there being an issue with the trial version. have you tried this?

go to your desktop MoBu icon
right click
properties
compatability tab
compatability mode
check ON Run this program in compatability mode for
choose your OS…most likely Windows 2000
apply
ok

this usually fixes bugs in NVIDIA cards, so I have been told (also saw it on the Autodesk website) Anyways I hope it helps!

lol!
It’s solved by a weird solution!
in fact I just turned off one of my dual monitors in cp and switching it on again! Then all things going really fast and fine!

So seems it isn’t threading issue related anymore! Although I emailed Autodesk but they didn’t answer! But anyway I thought MoBu was processing whole resolution of my 2 x 20" monitors for viewer window that mean ( 1680 x 2 ) x 1050 ! so it’s logic to going slow for a 3D env!

Btw now MoBu update the screen just in first monitor and just freeze on other one but all the way it worse to have it running at a acceptable speed instead!

Btw Really tnx Favian for your helps, mim
