Multi-Pass Image RGB Vs Regular Image

What exactly is the difference between the RGB output of the multi-pass image VS the “regular image” output? This is what I’m talking about:

Here’s an example, with the multi pass RGB on the right and the “regular image” on the left.

Would somebody explain to me why they look different?

It’s all about sRGB vs Linear color spaces.

The top image has saved with a regular sRGB colour profile. The multipass image always uses linear space. Your editing software/image viewer needs to be colour space aware in order to make sense of it. Otherwise the colours all shift.

Also, linear space files need a minimum of 16bit colour depth, not the 8bit you have selected there. Stick with the defaults unless you know what youre doing here.
