I am trying the demo for the latest version of mudbox and this keeps happening and I have no idea why. I’m thinking its probably a graphic card thing. I am running vista 64 with a 8800gt on a quad core machine. the square in the middle becomes my main viewport and the larger part of the scene becomes frozen. if i save my scene everything goes back to normal.
mudbox problem
whats funny is that i installed the latest driver nvidia had last month. i will check to see if they have a update and see what happens. i plan on purchasing mudbox so hopefully this will not be a problem if i get it.
So it’s not occurring all the time? Maybe the file is corrupted.
sometimes it takes a while before it occurs. I will try mudbox when i get home and see what could be triggering it.
It looks like it’s where a dialog box was, then didn’t clear correctly. It’s probably a graphics card driver issue.
I have a vista 64 machine with an 8800GT in, so I’ll give that a test this weekend to see if it’s the same. I don’t remember if I installed 2010 on that one or if it was only 2009.

are you running the full release of mudbox or are you running the trial. I am running the trial so i dont know if the full release makes a difference.
i try mudbox trial at 8600gt and windows xp and have no difference, trial was 2010, wery nice at work, no bugs…
i think, this is drivers or bad windows installation. i work with wacom and nothing wrong. try to reinstall the system and then install the mudbox.
and latest drivers is not very good sometimes. some of 190 nvidia (latest for this moment) crash my opengl programs. then i reinstall it to previus and all ok.
Ive had a lot of problems with the latest nvidia driver update for the quadros with both maya and mudbox. The driver I had the least amount of problems with was from about six months ago. Nothing wrong with using an old one if it works better.
