I successfully installed Mudbox, and then successfully installed the license.
The problem is whenever I start Mudbox the Autodesk Product Configuration Wizard shows up saying that Mudbox cannot find a license.
I trust Mudbox, and I know it can’t find a license because in FLEXLM licensing utilities I am using the Maya .dat licensing file, because I have Maya installed as well, so I then substitued the Maya .dat licensing file for the Mudbox file in Config Services tab in FLEXLM, checked use services, and clicked start service on power up. I started the service and Mudbox still wouldn’t RUN! I am really confused., but I at least know my way around FLEXLM now and how the licensing works, I just don’t know how I could run both Maya and Mudbox from the same licencing service. What’s more, when I click Perform Service Enquiry when the Mudbox license is supposedly running it says this:

Which looks to me like its still running the Maya license. So how do I create another license service for Mudbox, and what should I do??? Autodesk doesn’t offer support for Academic Products.
I also need to know if this might play a part in the problem:
Since my DVD/CD drive is broken and I’m sick of waiting to get a new one to install Mudbox, I placed the Mudbox installation CD into another PC and copied the CD to a thumb drive. I know it isn’t exactly legal, but I’m not doing it for illegal purposes, not would I beable to distribute it because you only can activate the serial on one computer. But the installtion went fine, and I don’t see how this could affect the license, and I doubt it did.
Please help me, I really am at loss for new ideas here.
