I am having issues developing a proper workflow for sculpting a coat. I have built a base mesh in maya and extruded the entire mesh to add thickness. Also, I have unwrapped my uv’s.
When i export the mesh to mudbox, I cannot seem to accurately sculpt on it. When i try to grab certain parts, its having a hard time dealing with the inside part of the coat (the thickness I added in Maya) It treates the mesh as if its two separate meshes.
Also the lighting is really strange and I have a feeling it has to do with the thickness (extrusion) I created in Maya.
Does anyone have any tips for me on how or a better way to approach this?
