I’m thinking about moving away from After Effects for comp work and maybe looking at Fusion.
How is the learning curve compared to say Combustion and, well, After Effects?

I would love to upgrade to Fusion6 - or for that matter Nuke - but the cost is just way too prohibitive. I guess, for you, it all depends on what you want to do and how much you are willing to spend. Good luck either way!
I have After effects, Shake and Fusion. I use After effects on most of my 2k and 4k projects.
If you use Maya for 3d work and you if are very familiar with it Going to a 3d compositing system is waste of money. My fusion seat is sitting idle.
Although I know this is the FUSION section…
digikris, do you use After Effects and OpenEXR? If so, how well does it work?
Thanks!
