Mouse Tracker 1.0

#1

Ola my friends,

Playing with some new 3d scenes in the Studio… I felt a necessity from realtime feedback in my EIAS cameras simulating Hand Cameras…
After some Brainstorm with Igors… I received this amazing gift which open a big door to all users here trying to do complex animations (erratic animations) which are complex to do using f-curves in any software.

This new FREEBIE plug-in records in realtime your mouse motion (path and acceleration) in any viewport which can be applied in your groups… you can re-do it until you are happy.

Sample Prjs:

  1. a Hand Camera test (I apply my tracked motions in effectors and my Camera and reference is parented to both effectors, you can animate first in top view, then in a second session animate in the side view… reallly nice)

  2. a rigged Character prj (I apply my tracked motions in effectors, I play my sound track in the EIAS sound track window and follow with my mouse to move 2 nulls which represent my Hip and Hands)

Character animations was never so easy.

Enjoy it.

Thanks David Stoddard (plug-in Name and Read me)

BTW: Im waiting all users to show nice animations…

Thank you very much

Battlestar Galactica’s shakycam, there I go!!! Infinite thanks

(Oh, there’s a beta of the UB’d Flag plugin there, too!)

#6

dont tell me it works for the camera too, no need for post production csamerashake? You´ve got to be kidding

Ok, this is fun… I just used the mousetracker with my car mover XP project. Worked like a charm. About the only thing I could see would be some channel modification tools, but those would be simple to write with XP.

worked flawlessly: www.cjberg.com/movs/Preview5b.mp4

Wow Man! what an amazing tool, it is fantastic for music feeling!, can’t wait to test it.

Thank you! Tomas, Igors and David Stoddard

Cheers

Thank you! all

(It seems one can’t animate the view from the Camera window via the Pan keys, as that won’t involve moving an object in that viewport, One can create some temp object to constrain the camera to look at it, and move and shake it around, things like that)

Is there a CFM version of this plug-in?

Mocap in EI. Great Tool.

Thanks.

Any more fun stuff TBA ?

#16

Not that I’m aware of,
Ian

#17

Thanks Ian.

Hoped there was a CFM version so that I could run it on my G5 with some older non-UB plugins. Oh well. Back to my Intel MBP then.
