Morphing from adult do child

#1

Besides both models have to be same vertex count. What issues should I be aware of?? Deformation order?? How do I blend 2 similar rigs?

Did anybody have an experience like that?? It´s like Hulk turning into Banner in Ang Lee´s HULK

You’ll also have to figure how to adjust the position of the controls in relation to the new geo.

If that is too hard, here is my solution

1)Create 2 rigs for both male and child. Because you already have same vertex count and UV map, weight maps for all deformers should be easy

2)Create blendshape to convert from man to child (and vice versa)

3)Transform the man to child in the 1st shot

4)Shot 2, use the child rig.

I can only agree with Pritish here. I’m sure it can be done with one rig, but its not really worth the effort, I’d say.

Cheers!

besides the obvious fact that morphing targets is a job for post-production.

as pritishd stated, i too, would do two separate rigs. morph from adult to kid, and at the same time, have the kid morphed in adult, and morph it back to kid.

that’s even the same way to do in post.

but as i said, this is way easier and precisly done in post, especially for the part, that you have to have same vertex order - that’s just a pain…
