Hi, I’m quite new here so forgive me if this has came up somewhere in the past before but:
I love the thread subscribe option you guys have on this forum, its great that it emails you each time a thread is updated, certainly helps me keep on track with other artists.
However, perhaps the system would benefit from an “only notify when updated by Author” option. I mean, only send the notifications when the topic creator posts on his/her thread.
Don’t get me wrong, I love reading everyones critiques as a thread progresses, and will definitely want this option on my own threads. But when you’re subscribed to someone and you get an email saying “the thread’s been updated” you think oooo, a nice artwork update.
Then you go on there and it’s just some other dude saying “Great work as always! Can’t wait to see how this turns out!” Its a bit disapointing.
Encouragement is great, but I don’t need notifying of someone encouraging someone else.
Anyway that’s my first suggestion, my other one is: Maybe it’d be good to subscribe to an artist in general. I mean, subscribe to someone, then get instant/daily/weekly notifications if they update their threads or start new ones, this might even eliminate the need for my first suggestion
Anywho that’s my 2 cents, what do you guys think?
