Mona Lisa study completed.

Only recently had a couple of days to get back to it and finally finished the study, all in all I think it came out okay, a few things that I’d remember for next time but overal captures at least 70% of the feel I think.

Here’s the stages - all in all, I lost track of how many hours I used for th study, but whatever it was I learned a ****load from it. Next study will be a Rembrandt oil paint study.

Nice job.

Thanks for posting the progression as it is always fascinating to watch different artists methods as they transition from phase to phase. Well done.

Fantastic work, Darren!!! :bounce:

Thanks for posting it up ~ this turned out magnificently! I particularly like the right hand and the way you’ve rendered the cloth. Were you planning to finish the background, as well? It seems a shame to come so far on this piece, and not totally finish it.

Beautiful work!!!

Cheers,
