Modo Tool handles gone?

I know it’s got to be a hotkey that I accidentally pressed, but I’ve been pouring through the help for the last 2 days and haven’t been able to find a damn thing. What’s happened is my move tool handle has just gone away. I can still move things but not with the tool handles. My scale, rotate and the universal tool, which has move/scale/rotate all in one are still there. This has completely stopped my progress with everything modo related. Anybody have any ideas? I’m ripping my hair out!

I realy dont know the hotkey you would have pressed, but I beleave you made the tool handle not visible. You can set the visibility in the tool pipe ( Pipeline ) with the “V” option as in this picture:

Good suggestion and useful to know i could adjust the visibility, but no dice… I also checked the handle size to see if it was maybe too large or small but again it was not the case. My other transforms work properly: Scale, Rotate, and the MultiTransfrom(?Can’t remember if that’s correct.) the tool handles all show up. Translate for some reason has no tool handle.

That is really strange. Is it the same with a new scene? If so, have you tried renaming the cfg file?

Well, it seems to be a CFG problem. As soon as I renamed the cfg and restarted modo my tool handle was back.

Not sure what the problem was but I was able to fix it and keep my old CFG and bindings and set up. Heres what I did:

  1. Renamed Old CFG
  2. Restart Modo
    3.Go to File>Config Import
  3. Select my renamed CFG

Wierd why that happened.

Glad you got it worked out.

I never tought about re-importing the broken cfg file. Good call! I’ll post this in the tip and tricks on Luxology’s forum if you dont mind.
