modo mesh paint instance bridging

Hi.

I’m trying to mesh paint with an object file over another mesh (simple), but then have it bridge connect to another replicated instance…like a section of a rope that links to another section but it connects automatically after each one is mesh painted (connecting with the instance before it.

How would this be done?

I may be wrong but I think you would need a software such as Houdini to do this totally automated. I really can’t think of any other ways but by hand.

I wish someone will reply and prove me wrong though…

I agree that someone would please say it ain’t so that I need to go into yet another 3d app.
Although Houdini is great and all.
