Hi,
maybe i’m not explained well… (very sorry)
in the future i don’t want see modo as “full” 3d-application (modeling, animation, rendering).
i like modo as modeler. it’s right and fine.
anyway modo is based on expandibility and pipeline-integration;
why not that integration works with additive internal or external modules that can increase its working possibilities?
modo works well with LW and Maya in the first (and all others 3d-appz).
also modo can works well with some external modules.
someone tells about 3d-painting module:
very well! that’s great!
someone tells about normal-mapping and displacement features:
that’s great!
someone tells about better and deeper text-tools:
OK!!!
3d-painting is very useful and it can be integrated in modo of course,
as internal tools or external direct connection with BodyPaint or something like this…
with respect, i prefer the first way (internal tools implementation).
as 3d-painting is useful as rendering-preview capabilities is useful the same.
this is my modest opinion only.
i don’t see animation or rigging capabilities that is “snature” the modo “concept”.
rendering previews or 3d-painting, as text-tool enhancement (i’m right with it…),
can be some possibility future modo implementation, i think specially when SDK is available.
do You like a FPrime plugin for modo?
me too.
like this modo is a modeler and remain that but it can increase its operativity and productivity with others complementary modules, in different 3d-graphics environment also.
at the moment, what is for You the best modo “combination”?
modo (modeling), messiah or kaydara (animation), lightwave or every 3D-app (rendering)?
why i’m buying modo (and animation program…) if i have LW-Modeler?
what’s the real gain?
i tell that for little studios and freelance graphic artists that they aren’t the possibilities of Pixar and something like that…
i can obtain the same results with one complete application; why i must buy different programs?
modo is more powerful to LW-Modeler but there’s not great difference (except for the interface customizing).
with respect i think the real evolution of modo is its integration with other modules, specially in different environments.
with Respect.
Thank You Very Much
P.S.: with modesty and max respect i hope that Lux don’t spend too much times for other implementations…
