Modo everything is great, except one thing sucks

:bounce: :banghead:

It crashed my system about 15 times during my 3 hours of working on it. Usually crash when

 • Press undo (Cmd+Z) many times
 • Select more than layers at once (by holding ‘Shift’)
 • Export to X3D file

Then i experienced one more problem, sometimes the mouse hung, and i can’t get used of it, unless i press Cmd+Tab (Keyboard is still usable). Then i have to quit Modo and restart the app again, one lucky thing is that, i’m still able to save my document (Cmd+S). That’s still better than crashing.
:hmm:

Post some system information or no one can help you.

I used Modo for about 5 hours the other day with no crashes. Have I made is crash before? Yes! Does it crash regularly? No!

As a matter of fact I think I’ve only had 2 crashes since I updated my video driver.

I had a serious issue with Modo crashing and it was because of my video card. If you have an Nvidia card then I suggest you go to http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=894 and download the Beta driver and install it. I hardly have any crashes now.

I dont have a solution since, on the mac ur sorta tied to what ever updates Apple gives you.
though one thing that We do at our facility to speed up OSX , and Keep Aplications running is install several utilities.

 1. Shadow Killer Takes the shadows off, and speeds up the GUI http://www.unsanity.com/haxies/shadowkiller

2. OnyX 1.4.7 System utilities to keep things clean , and also runnung smoothly
http://www.titanium.free.fr/english.html

 1. TinkerTool Utility to Disable those annoying things like the animation effects in OSX http://www.bresink.de/osx/TinkerTool.html

 2. Apple Software updates

Hope that helps
