Hi Dan, I got the 201 course when it first came out, how do I get hold of the 203 updates?

Thanks - glad you got the course.
As stated in our emails and right on the front page of the 3D Garage.com site, the downloads will be available mid-may. You need to be an existing customer to download them.

Hi Dan, i just bought you book “The Official Luxology modo Guide”.

What difference or extras does the courseware offer?
Is half the courseware just going to cover all of the same territory that was in the book and its videos?

What sort of new, extras material does the courseware cover? Thanks

#5

Glad you got the book - thanks!
Well, people have asked this before and I always tell them that the biggest difference is that you read the book, but watch the videos

Beyond that, all the projects are different. I don’t repeat the tutorials in either - so it’s good to see how something is done, and watch a project from start to finish. Modeling, texture, light, and render.

Quick question Dan.

The EXTRA VIDEOS for “The Official Luxology modo Guide”…
will they be available soon?

#7

Yes, after these updates are ready, those will be next.

Great big thanks for the deals, looking forward to the Dan Ablan coureware and i’ve recently purchased the book as well.

Dan

I am working my way through The Official Luxology modo Guide and have a question about the units you used in the book. In previous Lightwave guides you made a point of using metric real world units but in TOLMG the size you used is all out of whack to real world sizes. The building block is 1.1m long! As I recall in the Lightwave book you suggested setting the units to millimeters and working to real world sizes.

Just curious if there is a reason behind this or just thats how you decided to do it.

Otherwise really enjoying the book and anxious to see the bonus videos.

I’m acctually going to buy the book today. I cant afford the Signature Courseware. At least not yet. i’m really looking forward to the book! I’ve heard its great! Modo is such a good tool, and if this book is going to help me improve as an artist, then I owe you one, Dan

I’ll give you some review after I’ve read it

After banging my head against the wall while trying to learn the ins-and-outs of this amazing software, I asked myself, “What would Dan Ablan do?” I then went over to Amazon and bought the book. I am now marking time until it arrives. You terrific book (and videos) on Lightwave v9, has just whet my appetite for the modo book. Now I have 2 things to look forward to: Mr. Ablan’s book and modo 301.

Haha! That’s great. Glad to help.

I received the book yesterday. I’ve read through it very swiftly by now, and it seems excellent! The quality of the book seems superb, even though its a paperback.

Its 400 pages in colours.

The book takes you through almost everything on Modo! I’d recommend the book to every body interested in Modo.

I don’t have time to read it at the moment, but I’m really looking forward to reading it, and watching the videos which follow along the book.

Thank you for a wonderful book, and helping me improve an artist!

Greetings
Henning
