Models for my hack and slash RPG

Hello,

This is my first post here so sorry if this is the wrong section.

My team, ELB Software, which has currently just two members; me (programmer) and dave (beginner programmer). I currently create all 3D models and textures but I am not very good.

I have asked in the DarkBASIC forums for someone to join the team as a modeler, texturer or animator and they suggested asking here.

Because we have no current modeller or texturers or animators we’d need you to do as many game models as possible from levels to characters from generic objects to enemies.

All money made from the game will be split between team members equally. Unfortunately as this is our first money making project we can not offer money until the game makes money.:deal:

you guys probably want to post this in either the mployment section or the coop projects section. also on your site you should put a little more about the projects youre working on and not just the names of them. good luck with everything. if your on aim i’m geraldking3 and spookfrmctown on yahoo instant messenger. hit me up anytime i know how much it sucks trying to build a team from scratch with no money so any advise or help i can give you i’d be happy to provide

Thanks. Yes it is hard setting up a team on and ELB (extremely low budget).
The main problem with the site is I have a 56kbps modem!

Hi again.

Just wanted to let you guys know that this game is still going. However, I’m still working on it by myself and I suck at media. I have included some screenshots of this and an FPS I was working on. I’ve also included a video of the game at the moment. The video is about 2/3s of the speed of the actual game because it slowed down tonnes when I was recording it.

I have now nearly finished making the first level model. I have NPCs to talk to and some magic effects. I have a trail effect on the sword and a HUD. I have made a trailer movie but I can’t upload it at the moment because my host is down at the moment. As soon as I can I will post some screens and a movie.

I have now completely modelled the first level and added health and mana potions to pick up. I’ve fixed a couple of bugs and optimised the AI code. Unfortunately I still can’t upload.

I’m making a cartoony Hack+Slash RPG. I wanted to go for a Sudeki style but my lack of media skills made that impossible which is why I posted here in the hope of someone helping. Oh well. I’m attempting to get 1 level and a boss level done by the 7th June as I am entering it for a compo. After that, unless someone helps me with models, I’ll probably drop it and start a new project.

Ok, I’ve been watching this thread for a while and decided to post just because u seem rather determined. I’m teaching myself how to model and program. I’m very much a noob in C++ but was recently kicked out of school and have more time then i know what to do with so that wont be the case for very long. I’m very used to working in 3ds max 7 but I have no work to show as I’ve just reformated my computer. If you still want help I’ll do what i can for you but games need textures and that is my weak point. Add G_Cronos@hotmail.com if you want to talk about plans.

My two cents also would be to start picking up on C++ now. If you want to get into game development it’s what is being used by most companies.

Thanks. I’ll e-mail you. I know C++ is what I’m going to need but I can’t find anyway to start learning. I’m going to college in September so I may pickup a bit then and then I’m hoping to take a degree in game development at Portsmouth university so I’ll almost certainly learn some then! I went on work experience last July to Climax and learnt a lot but I still can’t find anything sort of graphical. All I learnt was text and stuff. Thanks again.

hi, just wondering if tat thread is still alive or not… anyway couldn’t get to view any of ur files, just wanted to have an idea of what you’ve got so far.

Also, if maybe you updated your website a bit more, it’d tell people more on what you’re aiming for.

Lastly, i know how it hard it is to start a game project (makes me remember my assignments…heheh)

I really want to give you a new video and a demo but as you noticed my old host is down and I don’t have anywhere to host the stuff. If anyone has any ideas where I could host stuff cheaply then please let me know. I know the website is rubbish. I made it literraly a year a go in an IT lesson! Someone is making me a new one as we speak. And yes the project is still very much alive.
