Modellıng and placıng a necklace/chain using dynamics.

#1

Hi everyone.

It’s been 3 days since i’ve been struggling with this issue.

I have created a necklace chain. And there’s a little gem that is attached to it (i just created a necklace, i mean)

I want to display it on a model but i want it to look like it’s sittin on the model just as a normal necklace would sit. And for that i’ve given each chain dynamics and i’ve checked the boxes where the dynamics calculator takes it into consideration that there are holes in every chain and i’ve hand wired them together after a small twist of step effector.

The problem i have is when i hit play after cashing the simulation. The necklace can not even hold onto themselves. They can when i make them thicker but i want it to be a lady necklace, not a rapper one

is there a way to make stuff stronger, more solid in the forces tab? so they won’t fall around and sit into a final position so i can have a proper display.

Many thanks, my first post. Sorry if mistaken.

Try setting the substeps higher under the nucleus.

Or try using a transform constraint on the beads. Keep it mind its going to lock your transforms.
