Modeling the Human Heart

#1

Hello:

Would anyone know of any tutorials (preferably free) for modeling the human heart?

If not, can anyone provide an explanation as to how I can create a circular hole in the side of a cylynder for creating the three holes in the “arch of the aorta” (see link below for picture) of the heart?

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

there’s acouple of ways that you could do it. you could Boleen a tube to a cylinder. Set the operation to a union. another way is, you could box model the Aorta and delete the faces where the valves come out and extrude the edges. or you could turn whatever shape your using into a editable poly and slice the polies into a circular shape.

I hope that helps you out. have fun and don’t forget to chamfer your edges.

Thank you for this information CrazyApe. I should have thought of the cylinder Boolean options, but as a beginner it’s hard to remember…
