Prologue
In the future, all criminals will find themselves on a prison built on a planet far from Earth. The smallest crime will land you a new home on this prison of nine million. Bounty hunters, assassins, scientists, ex-military, engineers, are but a few of the types of criminals Hammerstein contains. The prison was once successful. The criminals went on with their new life; fighting, searching and building. But when one convict-dropship was ambushed by a group of technologically advanced prisoners, the whole prison hit a chaotic status. Everyone ran rampant, brutally killing the Hammerguards with their newly acquired weapons which were made by underground organizations. As time progessed, the entire prison became one large criminal operation. All the resources found on the planet helped the criminals forge a new world; a lawless world.
In a desperate attempt for military action, the Solid Arm ordered the Opanara Marine Corporation, Earth’s specialized strike armada, to take Hammerstein back at all costs. This planet could no longer be operated by criminally-insane mentalities. If they found out the coordinates to Earth, nine million men and women with grudges and no tolerance for the law, would come back and reign over the innocent. This must not happen. An epic battle would soon begin.
Introduction - A new opportunity
One man stood at his desk in his basement with a ruler and pen, ready to draw the plans for the greatest prison ever conceived. He ached all over from an intense training operation he put his men through just a few hours before. With a hot coffee and a burning cigarette next to him, he placed the pen on the grided paper and proceeded to use his engineering experitise to create the prison that would be known as, Hammerstein, to millions of the world’s worst convicts. He sat at the desk for a grueling 8 hours, like a rock, constructing a prison that would hold men and women of different professions. The only problem that occured was, location. Where would he put this immense prison of engineering marvel? A few ideas came to him over a span of 9 cigarettes. He thought of elevating the land in the middle of the ocean, but realized it would be almost impossible, if not impossible entirely. High in the air was another idea that fell through just as fast as the ocean idea. Since he couldn’t figure out what to do, he decided to give it a rest and watch some television. After 20 minutes of channel surfing he jumped up and screamed, “SPACE! I will build it in space!”. And that was it. He finished the blueprints and went to propose his concept to the Solid Arm [SA], which was accepted not only for its brilliance, but its preliminary focus; a place to drop prisoners off for good. That man responsible was named, General Kane Hammerstein.
Hammerstein went into production in the year 2099. It finished in the year 2111 and was ready for operation in August of 2120. General Hammerstein’s statue rests on the front gate ledge, as a reminder for all the convicts flying into the docking bay, that General Hammerstein was responsible for this triple-maximum security prison. No one without a ship could leave. The planet Hammerstein was developed on, was very much like Earth. The sun projected heat much more rapidly, however, but the resources and materials were all there. If one was to dig far enough, they’d find gold, diamond and even highly soluable drinking water. The Hammerguards, an elite division of security, found that the resources were going to be targeted once the convicts land, so they had to be carefully monitored. The current engineering team decided it was best to setup a camera grid under in the ground. The grid would monitor sound, sight and vibrations. The security was in place and now it was time to import the convicts. The manufacturing of all things metallic, Zues Corporation, was called on to develop convict-convoy ships. They were given $650, 000, 000 to create these ships and had a development time of 4 years. It was going to be epic. The world watched as Zues Corporation made the world’s largest ships for the sole purpose of transporting criminals in and out of Earth. 4 years had passed and now the three ships, Avriana, Cameleon and Lion 6 were ready. The Global Law Organization [GLO] gathered 9000 convicts from over-crowded prisons around the world and shipped them off to board the three ships. The trip lasted 3 months and costed $30, 000, 000 in collaborated funds from around the world. That would be the last time Earth would ever see the men onboard the Avriana, Cameleon and Lion 6, again. Some families wept, while others rejoiced. But overall, the world was getting closer to being 100% safe and secure.
Lights from the new prison could be seen from the windows on the three ships. Prisoners peaked out and watched as they decended closer to the loading docks. “This aint shit!” one shouted “Hammerstein, **** you!” another said. While these men appeared to be calm on the exterior, everyone around them knew it was just a cover. A cover to hide the total fear they had for this new place far away from Earth. Some of the hardcore criminals shouted “thank you” for this amazing opportunity to start over. Who then started to eye down their next victims. Once the ships landed, the Hammerguards stationed on Hammerstein, directed the men through the front gates, into their respective sectors and were then left there with nothing. Once all 9000 were inside the walls of the massive metallic prison that surrounded the entire planet, they closed the doors and left back to their posts. The men started to fight each other. A massive brawl broke out leaving hundreds brutally slain and times two wounded. The strongest of the men left to explore the prison, leaving the weaker ones to slowly die or to congregate amongst themselves. Once the doors were closed and the men were settled, the three ships lifted off and headed back to Earth. Some of the wounded men looked up and cried or screamed to take them back. The guards watched on and laughed. Hammerstein was now in full swing. Its stories and legends would begin to take form from this point on.
Welcome to Hostile Freedom
This is a Half Life 2 mod, that will be a storylined mutiplayer, situated ina future where new technology is being invented and old is being advanced(no star trek
)
We currently have the gameplay laid out,and are working on all the things to go in, and it’s beginning to look very nice.
But we are not that many on the team yet, and we are looking for someone to turn all our concept idea into 3d.
Also if anyone is interrested in doing some concept art for us we will not say no, but have a lot, but any new input is welcome
