Mirroring a rigged character

I’ve got this kinda industrial robot with a hand at the end, for an assemblyline in a christmas-themed toy commercial, set up with a skeleton, driven keys, constraints and so on, and I need an exact duplicate of it, but mirrored, to put on the other side of the conveyor belt.

A straight copy of it wont do, as the hand is asymmetrical.
Obviously, this can’t be done with Duplicate Special, as that tool won’t allow you to both copy input graphs and mirror. Manually mirroring things within the rig, or the top node in the rig, for that matter, just messes it all up, and there’s not enough time to strip the rig from the mesh, mirror that and redo the whole thing.

So, what am I to do?
