I just wanted to tell you that I was supposed to go to sleep for many hours ago, but I started reading this post and have been sitting and shaking my head in admiration and awe of the enourmous amount of effort you have put into this project. Half the night being spent reading every last bit.

I think your model is really coming close to being realistic, and the evolution from the first post several years ago to today is stunning.

Huge project, enormous stamina, I have the utmost respect for the kind of dedication you show and am truly looking forward to seeing the contiuation of this.

I am sorry that I have no good crits for your project, this is way over my head, just wanted to tell you that I admire your work and effort.

I’m in reflection on my poor skill for human motions.
Even though it is for test, I have to get used to the motions and MAYA’s FBIK behaviour a lot more. Please Give me a time to brush up the test movie, it may take a few days.

However those test movies could draw the differences between some jiggle values, that’s good.

I made some newer test movies, and got used to MAYA FBIK’s behaviour a little bit more.
I should not set keyframes for everything around FBIK but only for some necessary controlers. And for MAYA Muscle, I had to care about it is the dynamic simulations from a certain start condition. That is, it needs to care about rendering frame’s range to make those cyclic animations.

Well.
Please look at these movies.
I found some undesired errors in deformations, which is now able to fix since I found them. To examine the movies, it is good to download them and play Quicktime viewer with cyclic mode (Ctrl+L).

Hello,

She looks ultra stiff and I would say her boobs are giggling very weird, they should move up and down with the step not left to right like that, her nipple look more like eyes in the animation the way they are moving.

It’s windy day as start of spring season in near Tokyo.

I made the other test movies with exagerated jiggle value.
Basically, MAYA Muscle assigns the jiggle value to each muscle contorolers according to simple ratio, and it’s max value is 1.0 for the middle controler. But it is obvious for me that the 1.0 value is too much for the default MAYA world scale – centimeter. So I decided to decrease those jiggle value’s max to 0.1, but there is a comment it is “ultra stiff”. Then I tried to make it more – the jiggle’s max to 0.4 for this time. The resulting test movies are as below. I feel it is too much, but it is good examples to draw the difference between different jiggle values. To show you the behaviour of the jiggle effect, I post this enrty. :wink:

Well.
I’ve done the automation of changing these jiggle value at once by the small MEL command and batch scripts using EXCEL. So, I can change them anyway, anytime by the script excution once. Therefore I will try a few more times to fix the favourite jiggle value for me, but it is always able to change. :thumbsup:

Hello … but I have a sad report today… :shrug:

At first, I’ve tried to study about motions for bust area by watching several movies of real women. And secondary, I’ve tried to apply dynamic effects for the bust but failed. Now I have no idea about this issue, so I have to suspend it later… I’m sorry… :sad:

Here is another test movie with no explicit bust keyframes.
I think I should concentrate on the other issues for her muscle rig.

I could probably fill a book with what I’ve learned since I started those…

If you have access to nCloth, I’d recommend that. I’ve seen some examples that get about as natural-looking as Maya might currently be capable of, at least with dynamics.

Okay, okay.

Please look at this but be carefull that it’s almost like porngraphic.
This author let me know MAYA Muscle has a possibility enough for breast rig. And he has also tried to use nCloth.

The exact problem for this issue for me is I can’t find the trigger for jiggle effect for my breast rig. The rig is by basic skeleton with basic IK control. I guess the joint animation is necessary.

Anyway.
I’ll show you the result of my try.

Hi… I’m depressed. :shrug:

I’ve continued several tries but cannot reach to a satisfied result.
However I came to realize that the structure of breast rig might be wrong.
For now, the breast dummy muscle starts from base to nipple. But the nipple is most free place in breast, so it shouldn’t be fixed. Then the dummy muscle for breast should start from top to bottom, then the nipple will be free from main rig.

Well.
I’ll try this idea tommorow.

I’m curious how the rig is structured, like what the breast is parented to?
It looks like they are rotating with the clavicles.

From my experience, while you want the breasts to be pulled by the clavicles, they shouldn’t rotate with them. This can be done by parenting the breasts to the chest joint, and using point-constraints to drive their position.
