If anyone is considering a low cost, small sized, i7 render-node, then have a look a this quick write up I did on a recent node build.

Any questions let me know!

Are you planning to have any additional parts to your article, because honestly it just seems like any other ‘mini-itx’ build blog… nothing really to do with being an actual render node.
I would expect to see more about the software you use for your satellite rendering, how you set that up with your workstation… perhaps some tips or ‘how i handled this or that problem’ related to running and/or operating an actual render node. Even better yet, maybe some performance stats on something you’re working on with it… i dunno.
Not trying to be overly critical, but when you present the article as such I want to see more about the topic.
Hi Troy,
Yes I plan on writing a follow on article next, mainly outlining the software, installation, and other topics such as mapping network drives, network licences, distributed rendering for Vray, as I know a lot of people often struggle with this.
Give me a week or 2 and I’ll have it posted!
