Minas Tirith Project || Part 2

#2061

tiny update : 1-rb-1

#2062

Looks great. Keep it up :scream:

#2063

Purhaps you would like to know that I’m still working on my first building: Apparently there aren’t many differences but i’ve made internal part of building (which was missing before).

I’ve got a question guys: is there a library of objects that we can use? I remeber that someone talked about it but how the thing ended I don’t know.

#2064

Here is an update with 4-lf-11. Now there is only 2 buildings left in this section.

#2065

Looks cool =) - and in my opinion, the building on the right side could use a set of stairs. That slope looks a bit, errm, ‘edgy’, on that side. (talking about the 4- lf)

#2066

Heh, yeah that would be quite the drop indeed  I am planning to add stairs in after, and maybe a little thing that connects that one with the previous building I did.

#2067

So silent arround here…

#2069

So, who else thinks that the people of Minas Tirith are in incredibly good shape? Just think if you lived on the 4th or 5th level. You’d have to walk uphill so much, thats like some hardcore strength training right there

#2070

Yeah makes you wonder why they didn’t create a cable railway there :scream:

#2071

See what talking gets you

I wonder how much travel there would be between the levels. Seeing as you need a password to go through the gates it might have been more segregated.

#2072

Still reasonably ill at the moment but managed to get one done for you. Sorry havent been putting out much lately, I’ll make up for it once I make a full recovery and the christmas advertising rush eases off.

#2074

Yeah I know. I had hoped that it’d be just a temporary situation, but appearently it isn’t.
I’ll send a mail to the host to see what’s going on.

About the realtime viewer, you can still download that, since it’s on another server:
Realtime Viewer - RAR - 123MB

#2075

Hello Fellows

I browsed some pages of the topic and since my last visit there’re so many new things and that’s so GREAT !

The new version of the viewer is excellent, I loved to walk in the streets, the props give a better living touch in the city, that’s so nice ! The Great Hall is always one of my prefered place to go, never boring
Keep it up, this project is the best I’ve ever seen on CG !

((… Oh and what about doing next after this project, a city like Valimar or Numenor ?
oops bad thing to say … o_O runs away from a furious crowd of modelers lol ))

#2076

Yeah, I think PJanssen is gonna be burnt out after this.

If I had to vote for a new project I’d probably go for… The Lonely Mountain and Dale

#2077

Thanks a lot!
I hope that we can give you a new and much improved viewer somewhere soon, since the latest one is almost 6 months old already…

((... Oh and what about doing next after this project, a city like Valimar or Numenor ?

oops bad thing to say … o_O runs away from a furious crowd of modelers lol ))

Haha indeed a very bad thing to say. Instead of being happy that we’re still continuing on this crazy project, you come up with this … :scream: j/k

How do you mean “after this” ? :scream:

If I had to vote for a new project I’d probably go for… The Lonely Mountain and Dale

Yeah Dale would be awesome, although I would also love to see Gondolin, and Armenelos on Numenor sounds tempting too … ahem back to work :stuck_out_tongue:

#2078

Lool 6 months ?!!
Okay didn’t know the “new” version 11 was so old … lol I’ma bit late it seems.
I’ll wait the new one with impatience !

Yeah it’s because I wanted to cheer you all up :buttrock:
But I’ll shut up now :scream: lol

#2079

OK… done some adjustments. Here are the renders :

I still have to add a window to the thing on roof. Don’t mind on that simple wall.

#2080

ah, cool stuff
Is it made in Sketchup? Renders look like being “sketchuped”.

Just one suggestion about an architectural mistake (not a serious one however  )
Windows that follow staircase (diagonal row) r too large and gaps in-between r too small. Actually, in reality that piece of wall will fall. Especially if considering that it is kind of medieval style (roman plus some early gothic), walls should be more reinforced. What i suggest is that u reduce windows` size and quantity by one.

Overal look great!
